changing belt tensioner on a dodge neon 2000?
Im working on a 2000 Dodge Neon with a 2.0 Liter 16-Valve I-4. The problem lies in the idler pulley/belt tensioner, in which the bearing has grenaded and broke the belt. The only place I could find the part was through the dealership, which has already been purchased, and it seems that it is a bracket assembly/cover with the tensioner pressed in.
My question is, do I have to pull the motor to pull off the old cover? or is there a trick or special tool to get the job done. I can get to all of the bolts except for the one on the bottom left corner by the motor mount. I was also looking at dropping the motor through the bottom.
Any thoughts, comments, or advise would be appreciated.
