my adjusting sleeve is cracked on my 1968 chrysler newport, the tie rods on the

ends look ok, safe to drive? it is not the tie rod on the end that is cracked, it is the adjusting sleeve that has a crack down the side, can i drive this to a mechanic ok?
i see moisture around the adjusting sleeve and i think it might be throwing grease, i just had a tire that wore out on the other side and had to put the spare on it and now its all out of balance, i think i hear the ball joint making noise and it creaks alot on the same side..what should i do?
