Seems I've heard there was an electrical bug in the 2006 models, but just that year. People I know who had one got another one...

The PT Cruiser is based on the Neon chassis. ANY vehicle is only as good as the care it had previous to your taking possession of it. Look for past maintenance records in the car or ask the current owner for any documentation of previous maintenance. I have seen purchased new, one owner cars break down due to the total lack of maintenance.

Even ours break down occasionally but most have in excess of 150,000 miles on the odometer and are ''on in years''..

Because the underpinnings of this car are Neon, pure and simple: it's a total "waist" of money, pure and utter crap.
