Chevy Trailblazer Glove Box Handle Broken Off How to Fix?

Somebody broke into my 07 Chevy Trailblazer LT and snapped off the handle to the glove box because it was locked. First is there anyway to open it with it snapped off and second are there any parts I can get to fix it without having to get an entire new glove box assembly and have it re-keyed?

First you need to open the glovebox. Get a pair of needle nosed pliers and pull whats left of the handle outward to release the latch (it may take a few tries) Once open there should be a couple screws on the inside, holding the latch in place. Remove the latch (it should be pretty self explanitory), then call the dealership and order a new glovebox latch, reinstall the new one. There should be no reason the mess with the lock at all.
