Is the mercedes cl600 2003 reliable?

Assuming the owner took it to the dealer to get it serviced regularly is it an ok car or are they constant problems? it seems too good that they were 140000$ and now u can pick one up for 8000$

It's eleven years old. And guess what? It costs the same to work on that $8000 car as it did when it was $140,000. Maybe more, what with inflation and all.

"is it an ok car or are they constant problems" Any vehicle can have problems, even new ones. Usually the used ones tend to have more problems because they are used. It will all depend on how the vehicle was cared for. Usually a well maintained car will last longer than one that was not taken care of properly. You might look up this car and see if there were any recalls on it and what the recalls consisted of. You could also get a carfax done to see if the car has ever been in any crashes, floods, ect. Keep in mind the car fax info is only as good as is reported. As an example, say the previous owner was involved in a crash and at the time only had liability insurance. Liability insurance will not pay anything towards this car. The owner didn't have money to take it to a regular body shop to get it repaired. The owner took it to his friend "Bubba" who done the repair work. You can bet the owner and "Bubba" never reported this accident. Bottom line, a carfax is only as good as the info that has been reported on the car. Never "assume" anything. Do as much research as you can on the car if you intend to buy it. The more you dig the more you may find out on the car, and it might not be to your liking.
