2001 ford escape not getting fuel

I have a 2001 ford escape XLT V6, just changed out valve cover caskets and intake caskets was running prior to changing these out was running a little rough due to number 5 plug getting oil on it now after changing the caskets it wont start checked the fuel shut off checked spark pulled plugs and there dry I can get it to run with starting fluid but wont run long what could be the problem the truck has sat for about a year started it up about 2 months ago ran like it always did then changed caskets now wont start

Well I think you have some problem with fuel pump of you drive. you need to change it because it not working and that why you drive is not getting fuel. I hope after changing the fuel pump you problem will be solve. Good Luck

It is definitely caused by a faulty fuel pump.

Same thing happened on my F-150. Fuel pump issue.
