93 Ford Aerostar?

There is a little red light under the cigarette lighter on my 93 Ford Aerostar. Whenever the car is running this light is on. Nothing I do seems to affect this light. What is this light for? I used to have a 89 Ford Aerostar and it didn't have this light. Just curious as to what it's for.
