All the 4.6 2v info you need...

I noticed that the oil capacity is listed as 5 quarts. I know that after January 2002 on the Mustang Gt that was changed to 6 quarts. My engine is a Windsor and my wife's Lincoln is a Romeo and they both currently take 6 quarts.

About the oil capacity, it's always been a debate. There was a production run where the dip sticks were incorrectly labeled and the another where the owners manuals were incorrectly labeled. And at one point I believe they actually changed the requirement. I had always put 6 in my 96.

Same as the GT, 6qts. If you plan on open tracking go ahead with 7 qts because those monster heads hold lots of oil when you keep the RPMs up.

forgot to add the nice plastic intake manifold on the mid-late 90s ones. good job Ford!!! i had to replace mine bc it cracked while on the highway <3

Thanks 68Stang...Your a "stanggod" Good word...

Anyway has anyone seen the new mustang on this months concept of motortrend??,I think its discusting. a mustang with lamborghini-type doors and a too futuristic look to it. good power under the hood though. any opinions? btw,i heard it from ford part news called it the guigiaros mustang

Just reading this now...

Was there a change in the pan at all? or just re-labeled dip sticks?

I open track my '01 2V, so I'd like to put as much as oil as I safely can in it, but my dip stick shows over full when I put 5L in. Maybe I should look for a newer dipstick?

What is included with the DS block mod kit? When I had my block mod I estimate the shims cost about 50p for all four. Water pump is not really necessary apparently and niether is the oil change.

You should change the waterpump as a newly tensioned cambelt can cause bearing failure.

I had mine done and the water pump wasnt replaced. And you are buying the parts at retail prices where they will be buying at trade.
I realise that, but even given that mark up its not enough to cover the block mod labour the shims dont cost much to make.
By the way, the best program for marketing, SEO and SMM for me - it a XRumer 12.0.9 Elite + SocPlugin :)
